Purrfect Service in an outstanding Cat Sitting business and a great alternative to Cat Boarding, because at home is better, not only for your pets but for your peace of mind. You will experience service like none other. The blogs are about anything to do with cats, some blogs are from Purrfect Service's observations and many are observations from other cat lovers. We also love the dogs and offer a dog walking service as well. Lots of fun trivia too.

I Melanie Goetken was born and raised in Burnaby B.C. ( a true B.C. apple ) and have had several fantastic jobs over my life span such serving at the posh Hy's Restaurant downtown Vancouver for 8 years and raising 3, crazy, beautiful young ladies for the past 22 years. In between the raising of the children I got my Hairdressing License and did hair out of my home as well. When the children were almost grown I started my House Cleaning Business and did that for 8 Years and still have a few clients and am open to having more, but my new love is Cat Sitting. After working in a busy Cattery for 3 years I thought I would combine my cleaning expertise with cats and voila I came up with Cat Sitting. I am so blessed and excited to have some great clients right now and to meet all my future clients and their pets. I have the best job.
Did you know that the Savannah breed of cat is a fairly recent American crossbreeding of a domestic cat and a wild serval of Africa. It is now one of the most popular cat breeds. I have cared for them befor and they are a lovely breed but very hyper and need alot of play time:)
Did you know that the phrase "raining cats and dogs" comes from 17th century England when many of these poor animals drowned during heavy downpours. Their bodies would be seen floating in the streets, giving the appearance that it had literally rained cats and dogs. Awe, poor little guys :(
From medieval times, different parts of a cat's body, ranging from the dried liver to the blood and bones, were used to concoct cures and medicines. Poor cats, I hope they did that when someones house cat passed away, well, thats how I am going to think about it:)
